Congratulations to Fatemeh Zarei for presenting her research in the 3-minute thesis competition at the 2025 Annual Clinical & Translational Science Institute at the University of Utah! Fatemeh’s research, “Sustained Delivery of Glycosaminoglycans in Chronic Rhinosinusitis with Asthma,” aims to develop a long-term, inclusive, safe, and novel treatment for patients with chronic rhinosinusitis with asthma (CRS-A). Her approach employs a thermoresponsive polymeric hydrogel to deliver a synthetic glycosaminoglycan to increase its half-life, providing patients with a safe treatment.
